LEGO also has stores in some areas that sell nothing but LEGO merchandise. There is a LEGO store that is about 30 minutes away from where I live. These stores sell individual pieces. Canisters are in the back of the store. Each canister contains dozens of the same piece (It's like bulk food at a supermarket). I've been trying to rebuild some "ancient" LEGO models from my youth that I still have the instructions to or I can find online. These "bulk" canisters have been a godsend for me.
