Sure. The trauma and anger from that atrocity overcame our collective reasoning.

you mean the 1st Iraq war, because we didn't go the 2nd time until after 9/11 genious. If you're talking about the 1st war there was a president in between the two Bush's that was in there for 8 years that had some time to prevent 9/11 and he had a chance to capture Osama Bin Laden, and missed him by a few hours.
Why do people like you have to lie and say false information to get your point across, when basically spreading propaganada like that is only hurting this country.

No because 9/11 wasn't the grounds for attack on Iraq it was only added motivation. The first Bush went to war with Saddam and at the end of Clinton's presidency his admin was also considering it so even without 9/11 Saddam was in for a fight.

9/11 was the pearl harbor needed by the neocons to push a war of profit on the American people. The timing of 9/11 was just to aerie.

Basically it seemed to ironic that it happened when it did and how Fast Bush and his administration was ready to run to war on the Lies they fed the American public.
They simply used the one Tool that Government uses to get the support of their people which is.. Cause a Catastrophy and get people to agree with you when they are "thinking" with their Emotions intead of their Brains.
And by the looks of this current Admin. and Pres, they really don't Need America's majority to agree with them to what they want to do anyways. Democracy has Left the Building!

9/11 served many purposes for many evil people. It allowed our country to be virtually stripped of the constitution and bill of rights, it allowed large portions of the north American union plans to be implemented, it allowed Israel to have far more control of our foreign policy, it allowed the government to take control of the Poppy fields in Afghanistan as well as Cheney's company to get their pipeline, it allowed Dub-ya to get his forward military bases in the region, it allowed Dub-ya to gain control of the oil production so it could be shut down massively increasing his oil interests profits. Also it gave the bankers an enormous amount of profit and further control.

No way would the Iraq War have happened if not for 9/11. Bush used the national patriotic fervor to convince most Americans that it was the right thing to do. Patriotism blinded people to the lies.

It'd've been tough to get the American people to buy into WWII were it not for Pearl Harbor. America has always had isolationist tendencies, and it takes something like a direct attack to goad it's people into international confilcts.
