Dont you think celebration dances should be eliminated? It seems that every tackle or every reception, certain players always celebrate. Some of you will say thats ok. But think about this.....what if Chipper Jones did the cabbage patch every time he caught a baseball, threw someone out or hit a home run. How rediculous would he look for that?

I would go for no pre-planned, organized celebrations. You score a TD yell, jump in the air, maybe high five a team mate but no cell phone crap, or sharpie, or row boat, or dirty bird nonsense, etc. The same rules would apply for a sack, fumble recovery, interception, etc.

No, no, no. I hate to disagree with you, but baseball and football are two entirely different worlds.
(One is played on the GRIDION, while the other is played in the PARK. Footballs objective is to enter enemy territory and pound your way past the goaline. Baseball's objective is to hit the ball and go home.)

As for your answer- I've gotta tell ya, watching a trademark move by a great player in the NFL is fun to watch. It doesn't happen that often. People only watched Shane Merriman's dance 20 or so times the entire season! Terrell Owens got to celebrate only 14 times. When you say Chipper Jones would do celebrate after catching a baseball or throwing someone out, that is totally out of the question...it'd be like a punter kicking an average punt. Nothing special, just routine, and no reason for celebration.
Also, these NFL players deserve to have to the right to celebrate after accomplishing something they have been training so hard for the entire summer. Yes, they won't celebrate if they haven't done anything exemplary, but come on... let the football players have their fun on the field after a sack, TD, or gamebreaking play.

I've never had a problem with celebrations. Players want to have fun and some guys are enjoying the moment. I think demeaning celebrations such as Randy Moss' "mooning the fans" shouldn't be allowed. But for the most part, I'm fine with them.

And don't give that crap about acting like you've been there before. Just because Jim Brown got bored scoring a million touchdowns in the sixties doesn't mean everyone else has to.

I think it should be reserved for a TD or huge play. Not a tackle for a 1 yard gain on 1st & ten. If someone stones someone on a 4th & 1 or something but only huge plays. I loved seeing Deion dance when he scored a TD!!!

celebrations in baseball are gay, but celebrations in football are cool...at times and in moderation. afte a td, its ok...but not after a 5 yd reception.

relies upon on who scored. particular gamers get particular issues..... these days Sidney's been getting a "Zooooooorroooo!" out of me. whilst Alex Ovechkin scores a objective every time he gets a "Ovie, Ovie, Ovie" chant. Mike Modano continuously get's my annual......"M...M...M...MIKEY!" lmao. Jarkko Ruutu gets a "Ruuuuuuu" I frequently leap up and scream "yeah!" and supply all and sundry who's watching the game with me (frequently my father and his uncle) extreme fives. Then my father continuously supplies me a 'I informed you....I informed you!' (i take advantage of to be very pessismistic as a newborn....and as quickly as I lived in Florida for some years i in my opinion have been given hooked with the Capitals too. and that i take advantage of to doubt each little thing.....i might continuously look at my dad and frown and say something like "Oh they are going to lose....Kolzig will replace into swiss cheese and lose" then it carried over to the Penguins "Oh, Jags locate the decrease back of the internet!" So my dad continuously yelled 'I informed you!' any time somebody we've been cheering for might score....and that i assume it form of caught. lol)
