Just as a side note:
All of you who read (and answered) my question, "Why think we're racist?", I deleted it because that was the wrong question to ask. I'm sorry I asked it. Many of you had good points, but I'd rather state this question than the other one.

let go of the past first
be blind to skin color and refuse to acknowledge or support anyone who notices skin color.

oh that's very tough. I think people like to hold on to their views of other ethnicities. i think if people just decided to listen to what anotherside was saying and feeling and acknowledge each other as people and individuals then we may make some progress. people like to separate themselves from others who may be different because they are not used to them and don't know how to relate. The more people are around each other and get used to one another the less they are going to have hangups about another race. To where a chinese woman isn't afraid of a black man standing near her, or a jewish person and an indian person can be normal friends. But this will take lots of time. Its only been about 50 years since segregation was ended so it's still too early to just drop it.

it can be over came when some people realize they are no better than anyone, and when they realize we cannot choose our parents, thats when it will stop.
