I go to a fertility spec. We have been trying for 3 years. Don't wait to see a doc. a year of trying is the part where you are regular OB/GYN will want to do some test on you and partner to rule out blocked tubes or low sperm (motility) Don't put it off we just get older and the older we get the harder it is. So please take my advice and see someone soon.

Only thing I will say is try not to stress about the situation of conceiving, try tracking ovulation and menstral, and baby dance everyday to increase chances and also have fun and when baby dancing try to have fun with it instead of making it seem like you are just trying for a baby.

good question. i would ask your doc to check both of your fertiltiy status and see if someone is missing or lacking something in their reproductive system. if after a year, a fertility specialist should be seen to pinpoint the problem. my husband and i have been trying for a year and a half and we're seeing a fertility specialist and hopefully we'll be pregnant this summer! wish us luck!

No one can tell you for sure why you aren't getting pregnant. have you:
*Charting your temp
*using OPKs (ovulation predictor kits)
*monitoring your cervix & cervical mucus
*had a pre-pregnancy screening by your OB/GYN?
*undergone any tests to check for PCOS or Insulin Resistance?
*had a Seman Analysis complted for your spouse/partner?
There are a number of reasons. You really need to contact your OB if its been a year and nothing.

my best friend tried for about 5 years.... took hormones, and stressed about it the entire time.... it was finally when she decided that maybe she needed to stop the hormones and figure out if she was supposed to adopt, that she quit stressing about it and put it out of her mind... (easier said than done, I know) but it was then that she became pregnant!
