You can find a few under $200. I am not advertising here, but I am a musician and have found that the best prices for guitars can be found at Musicians Friend. It is a popular mail order and internet music store. One tip... if you do happen to go to an actual store and buy a guitar, bring the catalog along and ask the store if they can beat the price of what is listed in the catalog.

you can first do some research on-line like on sam ash, like just check out what kinds of guitars they have and such, ( price, brands), and of course any sales they have
I got my guitar on-sale for $100 @ sam ash- it was on-sale or something. the guitar came in a box, and included a guitar case (it wasn't a very great one(hard to put a guitar in when your guitar has a strap on it, however, less harder to put in without the strap) 6 picks, a book with some ez songs (beginner songs) which also included some chords in it, a tuner (not electronic though), a strap and this metal thing that I do not know what it is called. And the brand is Fender Squier.
Anyway, so my point is that you can probably buy one of those kind of guitars in the music stores like Sam Ash or guitar center or w/e, like in a box (a set) with several accessories.
Or you can buy just individual guitar.
I wouldn't say any brand is "better" than the other. I've asked someone b4 about like "which brand is best?" and you know, I don't think really is a concrete answer, b/c every brand has its good points (and maybe points?)
But, if you're still unsure, maybe you can ask the people in the music shop to guide you (recommend which brands, which guitars to buy)
Okay, I hope this has helped a little..bye!

There are plenty of decent middle-end guitars for that kind of money.
Right now the Yamaha FG700S is on sale for $200 with free shipping. Of all the guitars I saw in the $100 - $200 price range that is probably your best bet. This is a nice guitar for $200.
I play a Yamaha F315X

Go to Sam Ash or Guitar center during a clearance sale (I got a free acoustic guitar for making a large purchase).

Have a friend help you find a used one. Two hundred won't buy you much of an acoustic guitar, so look around for something that is a better than average deal.

Try going to Craigslist.com in your city, they usually have great deals. Or try a pawn shop or a music store, sometimes music stores sell used items.
Good Luck

My husband has a giutar that he wants to sell. It's practically band new. He purchased it and then for his birthday he got another new one so he has no need for the ibanez. He would sell it for $175.00. He also has an amp to go with it if you need an amp.
Contact me if you are interested (you can email me through my profile page)
