NO!! Definatly not. Getting married is supposed to be the most romantic day of your life. Most women(me being one of them) want to get married in a lovely church, in a long flowing white dress and it snowing. Just like in a fairytale. Not at a muddy football field.

Absoloutly NOT....my beloved tried suggesting three years ago getting married at the leicester walker stadium, now as I share him with football any way (there are three of us in this marriage) the day was going to be for us alone and football was not invited.....we got married by the sea.

I did make a concession however and the reception venue was chosen for the fact they had a large plasma screen for any one that wanted to watch the match....funnily enough it was such a good day no one watched anyway.
So getting married in a football stadium would have been a waste!.....

OMG sounds like my husband. Sometimes I get mad about it (when our son needs a bath and I am doing 100 other things, he eats dinner in front of the T.V. or all he can hear is the T.V.) But I thank my lucky stars he is a husband that watches sports at home and not at the bar every night) Also have to add we got married in the star on the 50 yard line at Dallas stadium

Actually its my idea to get married at a football stadium. I love sports and my office is at the stadium. I think that its a great venue. I am also tired of the same old church venues. I will have my pastor there and the reception is actually a catering facility right inside the stadium. It works out great!!

Be very careful !!!! In this day and age a wedding ceremony booked in advance at Upton Park could be the subject of a mid season transfer deal. You may find yourself in an away marriage ceremony at Southampton before you know it.

PS Who's sponsoring your marriage, and have you got a substitute bride warming up on the touchline.

this is only a good idea if you BOTH are crazy about football. if it's just your thing it wouldn't be fair to her. most little girls don't dream of getting married in a football stadium when they grow up.

that said, if she is just as crazy about football, then go for it! you could even get sponsorship and the local media involved to help out with the cost. it would certainly be a day your family and friends won't soon forget.

good luck!

I would if my guy was a footballer most definitely...lol okie okie I think I would if it meant a lot to him but then we'd have to have 2 weddings cause I want a beach one. The football stadium one could be the first one though.

I would personally hate that, how tacky! But if the lady in question is a fan as well, then I guess she might love it. I couldn't understand why though... it's not a very romantic venue.

If a church wedding is out of the question, then yes it would be my first choice! (but I would be fussy about which ground it was) Far more character than an hotel or register office. Doesn't mean you can't get dressed up

sorry but hell no, its not the most romantic place to get married. But if you are both into football and support the same team and its your kind of thing then go for it.
