If you knew you had just enough time to get one thing and still make it out alive, what would your one thing be?

Let me clarify one thing. The people can take care of themselves (besides any babies, obviously). I was talking about things that aren't people.

Hello, Holy Cow. I was wondering if anyone would mention a Bible. I wanted to see if anyone felt the same way I do about it, because it just happens to be the one thing I'd take (though I wouldn't be happy about leaving behind my Redwall series collection; still, the Bible is more important to me). I'm surprised that you mentioned it, though, because from what I've heard from you in the past week or two, it wouldn't be your first choice, since you seem to think it's just a bunch of stories that you can interpret however you wish. You know, God doesn't like it when people spread false stuff around...

i would be sure my kids were out and safe...if they are out of the way of danger, i would try my best to get my cats out...of course, saving my computer with many years of teaching materials saved on it, would be an added bonus...i would be thankful beyond words just to see my kids and cats out safe.

My Family of course! But if you mean besides family? Then I say The picture book box in my closet. That is a life time of memories, that are irreplaceable. I could always get new clothes and furniture. That way if this supposed fire put me on the streets to live, I would still have all my photo memories to keep me inspired to move forward. Wow! That's so much more of an answer than you were looking for huh? *wink* It's just I too have thought of this question before. I have actually been in this situation when I was 15...long time ago. We lost a lot of Baby slides. That really sucked. Have a Great Day! Jess

toothbrush. in the case that the kids and cats are already out. So I'd probably panic and grab something stupid like a toothbrush.

My dog. My other things are either replaceable or able to get out on their own, so my dog would be my priority.
