Grasshopper, sit and be schooled.
there's three types of cold fronts. there's fast moving active, slow moving active, and inactive.
Fast moving active: The jet is perpendicular to the front. forcing the cold air under the warm air. the "weather" is going to occur at and ahead of the front. if a squall line forms, then it's gonna be like you have two fronts coming through. pressures gonna drop before frontal passage, winds will be Southwesterly, and temps will be "warm."
as the front passes, pressure will rise, winds will become Northwesterly and temperatures will be "cold."
you will see this twice if you have a squall line associated with the front. the squall line is a line of intense thunderstorms. usually you can find the tornadoes towards the end(bottom) of the front, and towards the occlusion(if there is one).
these changes will happen quickly.
Slow moving active:
The jet is more parallel to the front. therefore, changes will be more slow and gradual. thunderstorms will not be as strong, and the "weather" will happen at and behind the front.
winds, temps, and pressure will do the same as a fast moving, only it will happen at a much slower rate, as the cold air is not quickly being forced under the warmer air aloft.
Inactive cold front:
winds will shift, pressure may rise, temps may fall, but there's little to no cloudiness, or weather associated with the front.

If there is enough moisture, cold fronts cause narrow lines of thunderstorms. Otherwise they are preceded by a drop in pressure and a change in wind direction usually follows after them.

Getting constipated and squeezing out a big turd in the toliet signals a cold front when you flush the toliet. Or big farts.
Flushingly,
