America is no bastian of right wing conformity.Fact.

Bitter conservatives who cannot think for themselves need a bombastic voice to justify their lack of a joyful life.

There is reactioanry radio, but no non-reactioanary talk.

What do most Americans listen to for pholosophiocal inspiration? Rush Limbaugh or the Rolling Stones?

Ten to one:Stones everytime. At least they HAVE stones.

Here's a little reading (31 pages) that will make you proud of your country, your beliefs, and the causes we fight for, this little report proves for all but the dullest minds that America is NOT a conservative nation as many blowhards here would have you believe but that our values are the ones embraced by the true majority of Americans, this is a study taken over a very good period of time that will refute all the imbecillic crap you hear from the hard core cons, man what a great country, makes me proud!!

Maybe you don't realize that radio host do not exist to inform the public, but to increase the ratings of their stations and therefore increase advertising revenue thus resulting in a profit for the radio station and also the host. I seem to remember a mostly failed experiment called "Air(head) America" wherein the majority of the hosts were so-called progressives. It seems that organization hit rock bottom, and why? No one wanted to listened to it so it generated no profits because businesses stopped advertising.

Don't complain that there is no liberal radio when in fact there was a full lineup of liberal shows. You didn't listen or buy from the advertisers and now it's gone.

Welcome to the free market.

1) No.
2) Most of America is NOT liberal.
3) Several studies have shown that conservatives are happier & more optimistic than liberals.
4) People listen to the stones for music, not philosophy.

Contrary to what you made read here a YA, Air America is still on the air on 75 stations across including Satelite Radio (they got new owners in January, have relaunched the network with mostly new hosts).

Also, there is NPR and Genesis Communications Network.

The right would rather have people believe these don't exist.

I do like the Rolling Stones even though Mick threw a bucket of water on me in 1975 at the Capital Center in Washington DC or whatever they called that arena back then.

PS On recount yeah AA is on 68 I miscounted -- still news of the death of Air America are greatly exaggerated.

Obviously, this being a capitalist society above all else, they haven't been able to create a liberal radio talk show of such interest that they can sell it (you know , make money with it). I have to believe that there must be a desire to have one. If, as you imply, there are billions of liberals lusting after good talk radio, then surely someone would want to profit from it. Or maybe you are mistaken...

Why do liberals continue to whine about conservative talk radio programs when their own talk radio programs tank because of bad ratings? The reason talk radio seems to be so dominated by the conservatives is because the rest of the media panders to the left. Why, if America is "mostly liberal," is the demand for conservative talk radio insatiable? Why then does fox news enjoy some of the best ratings on the air? Perhaps you should take off the liberal shaded glasses and realize that you're living in a dream world.

FYI there was a liberal talk radio network called "Air America" with the likes of Al Franken & Jeannine Garafalo & it went bankrupt for lack of audience. America is basically Conservative. Liberals are the ones who don't think, they "feel" !! It is certainly apparent that you don't have the gray matter to put together a cogent thought. I can envision you digging out your Funk & Wagnal's now! PS - it's a dictionary.

well there is air america ( an ailing station of course liberal radio always seems to fail ) and a few other smaller ones.

And in polls when asked about values most americans would not be defined as liberals.

Here's a conundrum for you...I'm an Independent conservative.
I listen to Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Guitar Shorty. I smoke dope, drink and listen to talk radio every now and then. Dennis Prager doesn't have a bombastic voice, but I couldn't stand listening to Al Frankens whining. I guess no one else could either.

"America is no bastion of right wing conformity.Fact."
Where did you get this "fact"......Talk Radio???

Isn't it nice that we have choices. Its just kind of unfortunate for liberals that their talk radio doesn't succeed. Maybe America isn't as liberal as you think?
It's kind of like Fox News. I've probably seen more anti Fox posts since I've been on here than anything else, probably because Fox has the highest ratings. Maybe America isn't as liberal as you think?
