Well, you might be confusing the GOVERNMENT of America with the PEOPLE of America...
I think most Americans are not that full of themselves and do not think they rule the world.
Of course, there are always a few exceptions to the rule, but, trust me...that is not the way most Americans are...
:-)

Often Americans are thought of as pushy or overbearing simply because in America, we do enjoy a higher degree of freedom of speech than in many other countries. In France, for example, libel laws are so powerful that people must consider what they say for fear of being sued. And, of course, there are many places in the world where censorship is present.

In America, the right free speech is so strongly protected that we sometimes seem opinionated or self centered to others.

Yes I know, so true. Erm maybe because America is like, the most important place in the world. Ever heard of the "American Dream"? Yeh. But I can think of a LOT MORE places that I'd rather go to than AMERICA. [Yes honey, it's spelt with a C]
&most Americans are rascist, which to me, is so disgusting. =(
You must be really stupid to have prejudice against ANYONE in the world. And hey, look, we're doing it right now
Americans are just like everybody else. SOME are dimwits. SOME aren't. Heh. Bloody hell I've run off quite a load off here. Wickeddd

Not all Americans are like that. Only the ones that think that we do rule the world. Some of us know better, I being one of them.

America is the land of the free and the home of the brave...would you have the guts to ask this question face to face with an American? Didn't think so.....So just stay in your own country and leave us Americans alone......but we are the best country in the world......AMERICA ROCKS! Have a great day........wherever you are...☼ **==

we aren't
I think it is rather shameful that others think that way. You are simply lumping all Americans into one category, narcissus. That is not right.
While I do agree that a few of my fellow americans are full of themselves, there are plently of people in every country that are as well.

And by the way, your question kind of makes you seem full of yourself.

not all americans are full of ourselves. and some are just so proud of their homeland that they show it sometimes not in the best way. and others who knows but it probably comes down to our history and that pride of it and what we have accomplished. i am american and i am proud but i don't think that i am better than anybody else, but i will stand up for what i believe is right.

I want to hear you tell AMERICAN'S that we full of ourselves the next time another country such as yours needs medical, financial or military help. Don't speak of something you know nothing about.
