Recently, experts said that the Titanic may have also had a weak hull seam (from a design flaw); so after it collided with the iceberg it would not have allowed the Titanic to tilt and sink the way it did- and with Leo and Rose hanging on for dear life (as portrayed in the movie of course). They stated that the ship would have slightly tilted and then cracked.

The Titanic did break in two, however, the experts are saying now that the titanics expansion joints were no strong enough to hold the pressure has the ship started to go down. The Ship went up in the air like that but did NOT go as high. The titanic broke because of pressure from water flowing into the ship.

There was a great deal of debate for years, but in the past few years, dives to the Titanic have found the two halves in separate areas. The front section was basically intact, but the rear was basically destroyed. It's possible that either the boilers exploded at the center section, or that the damage caused by the iceberg was the most severe there, and the stress caused the Titanic to rip apart at that point.

Yes, it was confirmed in 1985.
Back in 1912, right after the Titanic sank, there was two inquiries. The American Inquiry and the British Inquiry. There were many people who testified that she sank intact, and others claimed she broke in two. Second Officer Charles Lightoller claimed she sank 'intact'. (He was the highest ranking officer that survived). In one of the inquiries final statements (I apologize for unable to remember which one...) said that the Titanic sank intact.
We now know that this is incorrect.
A new theory has recently arisen, and it was "Did the break-up occur at a shallower angle?" New technology has proven this, and we now know that the break-up occurred between 10 and 20 degrees.

Yes it did break apart into two pieces. Though during the sinking it did not tilt to quite an angle as seen in the movie, the stern I believe was tilted into the air, until the weight became too much and it snapped in half.
When Robert Ballard discovered the wreck in the mid 1980's, he and his team found it it two seperate pieces nearly a mile apart from each other.

Yes the titanic snapped in two. Pretty much as the film depicted. As the bow sank, the stern section rose out of the water. The immense strain of the weight of the stern unsupported, caused the ship to snap, causing the stern to slam down in an upright position. However, it's believed a thin sliver of hull still connected the bow and stern and as the bow plummeted down this caused the stern to rise again. This time to vanish beneath the waves before the thin sliver snapped. The bow section sank like a feather floats to the ground and suffered less damage when it hit the seabed. The stern sank like a dropped stone and "belly flopped" onto the seabed causing in substantial damage. So the Bow is in relatively good condition compared to the stern.

It did break in two as shown in the movie. Eyewitness accounts at the time conflicted, but when the Titanic was discovered by Robert Ballard in 1985, it was found on the ocean floor in two pieces.

For years no one was sure. It was thought that she had two holes in her and thats what sank her.
"To date, the received wisdom has been that after striking the iceberg, water flooded into the ship. The weight of the water in the bow forced the vessel's stern to rise until, when it reached an angle of 45 degrees, the ship snapped in half and sank." Exactly as it was portrayed in the film.

It may not have tiled quite as dramatically as depicted in the movie, but it did in fact break into two separate pieces during or right after sinking

Yes, the Titanic split in two as it descended to the ocean bottom. Scientists used computer graphics & studies to reenact the descent, & the remains on the bottom confirm that this is what happened too.
