No - you cannot. You will be deferred due to pregnancy.

Most definitely do not do it!!!!!!! Also, don't do it afterwards while you're breastfeeding. According to the Red Cross Website:

Q Why are pregnant women unable to donate?
A Although no problems have been reported, the safety of donating blood during or shortly after pregnancy has not been fully established. There may be medical risks to mother and baby if a blood donation is made while pregnant or shortly after pregnancy.

GENERAL GUIDELINES
To give blood for transfusion to another person, you must be healthy, be at least 17 years old or 16 years old if allowed by state law, weigh at least 110 pounds, and not have donated blood in the last 8 weeks (56 days) or a donation of double red cells in the last 16 weeks (111 days). "Healthy" means that you feel well and can perform normal activities. If you have a chronic condition such as diabetes or high blood pressure, "healthy" also means that you are being treated and the condition is under control.

Other aspects of each potential donor's health history are discussed as part of the donation process before any blood is collected. Each donor receives a brief examination during which temperature, pulse, blood pressure and blood count (hemoglobin or hematocrit) are measured.

Making donations for your own use during surgery (autologous blood donation) is considered a medical procedure and the rules for eligibility are less strict than for regular volunteer donations. Acupuncture

No you can not donate. They want all the blood to go to the baby. you also have to wait after you have the baby-I think it's 6 weeks for a natural and 8 for a section. Good luck

I don't think that you are supposed to. Your body is already having to double the amount that it is pumping in addition to growing a whole new person. That puts a huge strain on your body. Donating blood would only make it worse. If you are unsure and would still like to try, you could ask the people at the blood drive. They would know more or you could call your doctor and ask them.

Your body and your body need all the blood your body can make at this time, especially in the first tri-mester. The blood bank will not allow you to donate if they know you are pregnant and your doc would be furious.

No, you can't give blood while you are pregnant. Your body doesn't need the stress of giving blood. It could cause you to be anemic. If you haven't told people and you don't want them to know and you are afraid they'll find out because you usually donate, just tell them you can't give because you are anemic.

When I worked in a blood bank, we did not allow pregnant women to give blood.

Im pregnant with my first child right now, and have never given blood, but while my sister was pregnant, she was allowed to give blood. But as to whether or not it is healthy to do it, you should contact your doctor and ask before-hand.

No they will not have you give blood while pregnant. It is not recommended. It's great that you normally give blood but you will need to skip it until after you deliver. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

No recommended!!! I don't think it'll harm the baby but it can make you drowsy. And your baby needs the nutrients in your blood to develop, donating blood will decrease those nutrients.
So, no, don't do it.
