What is the best way to reform and/or restructure our entitlement programs (Social Security, Medicare, etc.)?

It would not take too much restructuring if only there was enough resources devoted to preventing and detecting fraudulent application and receipt of those benefits. False disability claims and the allowance for people who really have no desire to work their way out of assistance is a HUGE problem. Investigators of the fraud are so overwhelmed that they cannot possibly investigate every allegation of fraud .....it is sad that a program that was intended to be a safety net for the very destitute is misused so often.

Why would you want to? The two you mentioned are have been working for decades. Now if you want to talk about the SSI and disability programs, that is another story. We need a to figure out a way to weed out the abusers from from the deserving. Judges make the decisions on disability cases not the SSA. If a judge says a person is disabled because of drug use, then get rid of the judge. We need more investigators to catch people drawing disability that are actually working and impose sentences on them. Before we say get rid of the programs think about what that means. You really want the old lady down the street that spent all her savings on her husband's cancer to just go away and die? Or the kids who live with useless, lazy, crack head parents to go hungry? It isn't their fault. I see complaints about the social programs on here all of the time but no one seems to care that we feed people all over the world. I guess we care more about them than our own.

Basically to allow us to invest in SS as President Bush called for, if you look at the investment options all federal employees and officials have you will see why the program makes sense instead of allowing the program to be bankrupt in 2040. Medicare must be allowed to be more state controlled to come up with better ways to meet the needs and create alternatives that can be used in the other states.

We need a 'single payer' health care to keep this great nation GREAT ! All the money that folks are paying now for ins. is being wasted by layers of bureaucracy and red tape.
If all Americans paid 2or3 hundred bucks a year,the entire country would be covered! Simply abolishing them would seem the best way. Because of the ponzi-scheme structure of Social Security, though, that's not practical. Abolishing the regressive FICA tax, and raising income tax rates to make up the difference, adding means testing to Social Security, and then phasing it out might be workable, though.

A Chinese secret society with 6 million members, including 1.8 million Asian gangsters, and 100,000 professional assassins, have targeted Illuminati members if they proceed with world depopulation plans, according to Tokyo-based journalist Benjamin Fulford, 46.

They contacted Fulford, a Canadian ex pat, after he warned that the Illuminati plan to reduce the Asian population to just 500 million by means of race-specific biological weapons.

The secret society confirmed Fulford's information and asked him for advice. He provided a list of 10,000 people associated with the Illuminati, mainly members of the Bilderberg, CFR, and Skull and Bones. Neo Cons are also high priority targets.

Fulford says Japan has been controlled in secret by the Illuminati through the use of murder and bribery. Underground sources tell him the Americans have murdered over 200 Japanese politicians and influential citizens since the end of WW2.

Among the victims are former Prime Ministers Tanaka, Takeshita, Ohira, and Obuchi. They were all murdered using a special drug that induces strokes. The Illuminati have been warned that the Chinese secret society will not tolerate any more murders. It has also extended its protection to truth seekers in the West.
