More specifically, US-based companies do domestic strategic planning for their US operations. And, they will do international strategic planning for the worldwide operations.

International flights are all over the world, whilst domestic flights take place in the same country. For example; Boston - Moscow = International, but Boston - Las Vegas = Domestic

Domestic means internal - inside a country. International means between countries, or involving externals. You can take it from there......
