Looks like that judge didn't just lose his pants... he lost his entire suit!

What a jerk and idiot was that guy; He was offered $12,000 by the dry cleaning when the trial was imminent. That was more than enough to cover for the lost and all the bad service complains when the dry cleaning refused to pay for the pants at first. But he was too greedy now he got nothing besides having to pay for the court cost.

The dry cleaning was also responsible, they would have avoid all this trouble if they would had paid for the pants they lost on the first place, instead they refused.

They both got what they deserved. He got empy handed, and the dry cleaning got bad publicity and a head ache for their bad service; plus they both wasted a lot of time in this pathetic trial.

Why didn't the Judge in this case when he ruled against the pant less moron also immediately disbar him (if this toadstool is in fact even a lawyer) and make him pay the Dry Cleaning couple's legal fees? The only thing he did was make him pay court costs. Copying, filing fees etc. Big deal.

I'm glad the case was resolved in favor of the Dry Cleaners, but why did this case go as far as it did? I wish our public employees - Judges, would do a better job cleaning their dockets and quit crying they are over loaded. Here's one case they could have trashed when filed and saved some work.

Its ridiculous. It is wasting time and money in the court system. The epitome of a Frivolous law suit. It should have been thrown out before it even got to a judge.

Reimburse the guy for his pants and move on. Oh wait they tried to do that he wouldn't except it. I think he is just trying to get money without earning it under the guise of honesty in business with the satisfaction guaranteed angle.

Roy Pearson should be disbarred and banned for ever from being a judge and practicing law.

This person, so call person, is a scumbag. He is the problem with the civil court system. Just sue for anything without any reasonable cause. Pearson should be made to pay for more than just the court cost of the victims. He should have to pay for the wasted time to the victims of his stupid lawsuit.

The truth about this "Judge"

Pearson is not a real "Judge" as most people would define it. You will see in most reports that he is an "Administrative Law Judge" which basically means that a government agency hires an attorney to make decisions relating to matters of law that affect that agency. For example, the Social Security Administration employs hundreds of judges to hear disability cases across the country. They try to pass themselves off as "real" judges but don't be fooled into giving them the same respect. They generally can be attorneys who are not all that good at what they did in the past and now need a steady job .... and what a job! Great pay with little chance of being removed ... ever. A job for life!

I thought I would give some background on this idiot who tried to get something for nothing. I hope the judge also rules that Pearson will be responsible for the defendants legal fees for bringing this silly suit.

I wonder if it was brought with the intent of embarrassing the court system.
Or if the old judge was a bit off his rocker and had nothing else to do but sue.
You will notice that the suit did not go to trial, so if he was trying to point out the prevalence of frivolous lawsuits, he failed miserably.

More waste of our tax dollars. This cretin files a frivolous law suit and the court entertains him because he's a so called Judge.

Pearson should be taken out back and flogged, ordered to pay all legal costs of the dry cleaners, disbarred and shipped to Antarctica. Bet inside a month the penguins would gang up and kill that stupid moron.

It's about time the business owner won in a ridiculous lawsuit. Apparently, this Pearson guy has a history of filing these suits.

My thumbs up to Judge Judith Bartnoff, we need more judges like her around!

You know whats really funny about this.
If losing your pants is such a traumatic experience that you feel you need $54 million to compensate you.
You lead a charmed life.
I am so glad this got thrown out.
