This question is so often asked that some answerers have stock replies that they just paste in and submit.
The rational philosophy of the meaning of life is settled:
“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell (philosopher, mathematician and atheist)
If there is no purpose, how can there be any meaning?
Some of these answerers will say life has no meaning but I've never seen anyone actually live without some notion that they are living for something more important than their own happiness. Living for our own happiness is just a distraction; a way to keep from thinking about our own meaninglessness.
OR, if we are created beings, then it is likely that our Creator put our desire for meaning into our heads in order to point us to seek Him.
