Serpico just how is that an insult?
I lost loved ones on that day and I don't see that as an insult. However I find Dick Cheney telling our airspace protectors to stand down and freaking insult.

On some occasions particular conspiracy allegations turn out to be readily verifiable, as in the French government's attempted cover-up following Emile Zola's accusations in the Dreyfus Affair, or in the efforts by the Tsar's secret police to foment anti-Semitism by presenting The Protocols of the Elders of Zion as an authentic text.[26]
Some argue that the reality of such conspiracies should caution against any casual dismissal of conspiracy theory. Many "conspiracy theory" authors and publishers, such as Robert Anton Wilson and Disinfo, use proven conspiracies as evidence of what a secret plot can accomplish. In doing so, they attempt to rebut the assumption that conspiracies don't exist, or that any "conspiracy theory" is necessarily false. A number of true or possibly true conspiracies are cited in making this case; the Mafia, the Business Plot, MKULTRA, various CIA involvements in overseas coups d'état, Operation Northwoods, the 1991 Testimony of Nayirah before the US Congress,

What differentiates a human brain from an animals brain is that the human has been given the gift of reasoning information much, much, more in depth than the other animals on earth.
When someone is fed information and accepts that information as absolute truth, then they're really not exercising their own reasoning power, there accepting something that someone else has reasoned to be correct, and not allowing their own mind to come to a slightly different conclusion.
Conspiracy theorists minds are not accepting the information it has been fed and is guessing at different conclusions......Sometimes they are right!
What if Columbus had gone along with the accepted at the time, notion that the world was flat???
Since this is the political forum, I would guess that we're discussing what some people are saying about Ron Paul, so lets reason this out.
Ron Paul is & has been a Doctor all his life, so we know his school achievements are way above average. He also has studied & thought about the Constitiution all his life.
He also is an insider on how the USA is run.
I agree with his reasoning power, by reading his thoughts in a book he wrote......as far as conspiracies they can't be proven until after the facts are examined completely.
I'm a Proud Supporter of Ron Paul's theories!
Here's a good one, what happened to the WMD????

Most people's narrow definition of a conspiracy theorist is laughable.
Police detectives are conspiracy theorist, news writers are, Anyone working in Homeland Security, FBI, or CIA are all conspiracy theorist.
The reasoning behind questioning authority is to give a balance between the people and the government. Without such balance, there would either be anarchy or dictatorship. Depending on which way the unbalance fell.
I agree that some do take it too far, however, On the day of 9/11/01, everyone in this country was a conspiracy theorist in the fact that no one knew what happened yet and an investigation was pending.
A CONSPIRACY THEORY IS JUST A FANCY TERM FOR " AN ONGOING INVESTIGATION".

Look at all the people who believe in conspiracies. Some percentage of those people actually try to form their own conspiracies. So I think real conspiracies are very common. But conspiracies that actually work are very rare. There is no honor among thieves. It's very difficult for dishonest people to trust each other enough to form an effective conspiracy.
The military-industrial complex looks like a very successful conspiracy, except it isn't really a conspiracy. People who truly believe that the U.S. needs more and more defense spending are exactly the people who rise to the top of defense-industry corporations. Then, for purely patriotic reasons, they give grants to pro-defense-spending professors and campaign contributions to pro-defense-spending politicians (who are also true believers). Big spending government projects automatically spend big money on PR to promote themselves. No conspiracy necessary, but it bears watching anyway. (I'm not advocating censorship, just repeating Ike's warning to the voters.)
I have my own wacky conspiracy theory. Shakespeare was a secret agent for the Catholic underground. Then he got caught and became a double-agent. He was responsible for thwarting the Gunpowder Plot, which otherwise would have blown up the King and Parliament.

Most conspiracy theorists are waving alarms at things they can see, of course, many are partisan and take a "side" in their theory. But the real theorist that see things clearly are needed to defend this society, maybe they could never be proved to be right, or wrong, but in covert operation, the objectives is to leave no trace, so therefore they can't be proved too. But it doesn't mean that peoples cannot assembled piece of evidence to built a probable theory.
I have been involved in some adventures, that when I tell to some, they can't just believe it, because its sometimes too big or encompass way too much materials and evidences for them to assess in one time... The political world is full of hints, and if you know the actors, and their interests, you can see the world much clearly, and understand that the world is governed by the natural law of selection, where the best survived and the loser died... This is not a game for the faint of hearth, and this world is not joking either, but since most peoples are preserved in their illusiory bottle or cage, they just decide to look another way, or to not look at all.
The world need guardians, and some of those conspiracy theorists could one day save the world... It may have never happened before, but what makes you believed that it would never happen?

They are almost never right. Let's see.
The Chemtrail Theory- If this theory was real, the people behind the plot to poison the Earth would also be breathing in toxic materials released from aircraft.
9/11 Conspiracy- The steel in a building does not have to completely melt for the building to collapse and dozens reported seeing the jet fly into the Pentagon, but conspiracy theorists avoided those dozens of people and interviewed those who are confused as to what they saw.
New World Order- One of the organizations allegedly behind this is now defunct and the other is basically a Boy Scouts for 70 year old men and they are banned from discussing anything to do with politics and I talked to a person who's grandfather was a top level Mason who was on his deathbed when he was questioned about the New World Order and he said there is no New World Order.

Nothing is horrible about conspiracy theories or the people who propose/advance them. In fact, they are FUN!

I have one of the cardboard cutout backgrounds used in the fake Moon landing.

Why does it bother people? Because it makes people THINK.. And you know that the majority of people don't like to think. It makes their heads hurt. They'd rather be spoon fed by the media.
