I know a guy that just insists that Packers wideout is a hall of famer and top 5 wideout in the NFL. I don't buy it.

No, I doubt Donald Driver has a shot at the hall of fame. He's a good receiver, been to a few pro bowls, but he just blossomed way to late in his career to get the kinds of numbers. True, numbers aren't all that matter (Gale Sayers) but you also have to look at the fact that Donald Driver is good...but he doesn't have the exciting talent we see in old Randy Moss, Marvin Harrison, or even people like Chad Johnson and Steve Smith (who look like they have very bright careers going right now).

Driver isn't a top 5...sorry, but he's worth putting a good CB on or he'll kill you.

Donald Driver wasn't even on the radar until last year. Everyone was still upset about Javon Walker leaving. He's not even a #1 wideout on most teams. I don't think one Pro-Bowl year qualifies you as a Hall guy.

Just ask Brian Griese.

I think not! I wouldn't even go as far as to say he is a top 5 receiver in the league. There are too many others: T.O, Chad Johnson, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Steve Smith, etc. So I honestly don't see it!

I wish he would but I don't think so. He's a talented receiver, but I don't think he's top 5.

And I'm saying this from a Packer fan standpoint...

The Hall would have to significantly lower the standards

....so no.
tell your friend that he's probably too biased towards the Packers to see straight
