About a month ago, I took some LSD at a concert before I found out I was pregnant. I also took mushrooms the same night, and smoked cigs, drank like twice, and smoked pot here and there, all before I found out. (I found out about a week and a half ago) I am done with all that, I'm not a big drug user or anything, it was just a rare occasion. But I was wondering if anyone knows what all those factors would do to the baby. I'm worried about this..

well if youve done it early in your pregnancy it may not be a problem... just dont do it anymore. sometime the baby is so small its just cells dividing and not exactly a "person" yet. Check with your doc, but you may be okay. I mean whats done is done, right? Good luck to you!!!

The biggest risk is the cigarettes and alcohol, and not to long ago in America parents drank and smoked all the way through the pregnancy, so those few times shouldn't hurt. LSD and shrooms could cause a miscarriage, because it causes the the uterus to contract, but if the baby is alive right now, their are really no long term effects just the immediate danger of a miscarriage. But the effects of lsd and pregnancy are widely unknown. Pot could to cause an early miscarriage, but it also can cause the child to have higher test scores later in its development, so go figure. from this point on, it would probably be best not to use any drugs. good luck

Yeah, your baby will probably be fine. I actually asked my doctor about this, because I was worried about some stuff I took before I found out I was pregnant, and he said that these things hadly have an effect on the developing embryo very early in the pregnancy. Don't freak out about it; just make sure to avoid all "recreational" activities of that sort from now on... You'll be fine. Congrats!

In early pregnancy it causes geentic mutations and deformities. I work with drug addicted babies and looked this up in my book on the effects on certain drigs in a baby. It doesn't mean it will happen, but it can.

Some people seem to think that drug and alcohol use in early pregnancy it's not as harmful as it is in late pregnancy, but this is wrong. In the first trimester the brain and neuro tube develop and that is when most brain damage and deformities occur. This is why you are suposed to start taking prenatals before you become pregnant, because in the first few weeks, before most know they are pregnant, that's when they are needed the most.

if you're not that far along, you will be fine. i did some stuff i wish i hadnt before i found out i was pregnant and i was like maybe a week or two along. but if you are farther along (like a few months pregnant), it could have affected the baby.

lsd wouldn't have any affect on your baby, but ciggs and alcohol may have some effect if done more than a few times.

i wouldn't worry about it

You'll be fine, just as long as you don't do drugs anymore. If you have kept doing it, your baby would have been affected. Good luck!!! :))
