Crocs as well as flip flops are fun to wear but really are not good for you to wear at your work. I know as well as any other that crocs are comfortable, but the don't offer the ankle support that you need. They are too loose and the number one complaint that I have heard is people roll their ankles in them. The best thing to wear, if you can, with your scrubs is a good tennis shoe with a good arch support. More cushioned shoes such as walking shoes would be the best. In a job like that you need to consider support for back, knees and ankles. A good tennis shoe will also help your calf muscles. Although never turn away a good New Balance or Asics shoe. Crocs are more then likely made of a plastic/rubber material, but I'm not sure.

crocs are made of rubber from the south Himalaya's. They would look nice with your dental scrubs, but they are not the best choice. The rubber that the crocs are made from suck in all the bacteria from wherever they lie upon. So if you had a patient with some bad foot fungus; the bacteria would seep into your shoe, and then you have a chance of getting foot fungus! that exact situation happened to my aunt fuhk in the u.s.! listen to my advice!

Sure - hygenists wear crocs in the dental offices all of the time. I believe that they are made from a heavier type of styrofoam.

While crocs are convenient and comfortable, they may not portray the professional image that patients would expect from a dental hygienist. Even though crocs are seen everywhere, they really only belong on your feet when you're gardening.

Well, it depends on what color your crocs and scrubs are. Say your scrubs are blue, and then you wear BRIGHT yellow crocs, that is not okay.

They are made of plastic, I think? I've seen a lot of nurses wear Crocs. If they're comfortable, then wear them.
