Are you an American Citizen? Do you trust your own government? To always do what is correct and truthfull? To ensure that your rights as a fellow citizen are always well protected? And that in times of hardship and times of need that your American government will always be there for you to make sure you don't starve on the streets?

I'll start by saying that I used to have faith in government. But up until recently I've lost all faith in government and I really don't like bureacracy.

I want to know, if you do have faith in government. Then why?

When it comes to the government, NEVER trust it. They are there to BS the world including the citizens that voted to send and keep them in office. Most Americans don't have a clue of what the US Constitution says or what and who it protects. We really have a sick bunch of citizens that have trust in those that demand your money, then do with it what most Americans do not approve of!

the goverment is made up of people so as all humans we have falts. The goverment is not always looking out for whats best for you. Even the founding fathers doubted the knolage of the citizen and made checks and balences to make it so one person can't controll the goverment. The media checks the entire goverment along with the people. The goverment might stray one way and then people get mad at it and decide to change it. I feal like it is a dog. You can trust it but you still wach it. Then again in a freshman in high school so what do i know?

A government is made up of people and people by their very nature aren't always correct and truthful, so how can we truly expect any government to be. I think, yes, they make mistakes but generally speaking they attempt to do the right think, it just doesn't always turn out that way. We are lucky in one respect, we have a rather transparent government so hopefully the truth will eventually come out.

I am an American citizen and no, I don't trust the government. The government isn't just one person, it's an "entity". It's difficult do you deal with one arm saying "yes" while the others tell you "maybe" or "no".

I concur.

Trust them a little but watch them a lot.

It would also be advisable to let the government know that the citizens are in control by rattling the sabers every 10 years or so.

Americans Tolerate Goverment, trust is too strone a word.

Like you, I no longer trust the system as I have gotten a close and personal look at the practices they use; deception, lying, failing to equaly enforce law, failing to form law and protect Americans from "mafia" tactics of Companies; honestly, it is all about $.

I would never fully trust any government. However, when comparing the US government with every other government in the world, there is none I trust more.

I do not trust the current administration since it has proven to be untrustworthy, excessively secretive and partisan in its foreign and domestic policies

Not for the most part, but our system does have checks and balances that help to ensure that power is not controlled by individuals and we have the power to vote out those who we do not trust.
