I keep being told that everyone has a talent, however, I really don't know what mine is and I keep looking. Theres lots of things that I enjoy, but nothing that I feel is specifically my talent. Any Ideas?

A person with the gift of:
1. teaching will search for truth.
2. prophecy will see everything as good or bad.
3. evangelizing will have the need/desire to share the Good News everywhere and with everyone.
4. encouragement will see opportunities everywhere to build others self-esteem and confidence.
5. serving will always be concerned about helping others in need.
6. worshipping will always be seeking God and spending time alone with Him.
7. giving always looks for ways to spend his time, and/or talents, and/or money on others.
8. ruling will look at the broad picture and how things should be organized and managed.
9. being merciful will recognize hurts that need love and compassion.
10. laying on hands always has compassion for the sick and hurting and desires to heal them.
11. working miracles has a very close deep relationship with the Holy Spirit and is baptized in the Spirit.
12. prayer warrior has a desire to help through the petitioning of God.

Ask yourself:

1. What are my natural gifts and qualities?
2. What motivates me?
3. What stresses me?
4. What are my repeating limiting patterns?

If you still do not know what your talent is, pray and ask God to show you. Some people have a natural gift to love and be kind to the sick (nurses), others have a take charge gift (managers), and yet some are very analytical (accountants and computer science people), and then some have deep compassion and are meant to be couselors or motivators. Keep searching and you will find your gift.

Talent is a gift however may need to be molded to develop, to discover your talent you don't need to go to school as talent can not be taught but developed, so the best thing to do is to keep track of the thikng you do subconsciously then you'll kinow what you really talented on.

Boy am I glad that there is someone else that feels this way!

I do lots of things, and I do several things well, but certainly nothing that I feel is a talent.

I hope we both find an answer. Thanks for the great question!

You can take the stuff that you enjoy and focus on one that makes you feel better or you like more out of the bunch and put some energy into it. If It takes more work to be succsessful in it, then do it. It will be better than regreting.

A talent isn't just encompassed in fine arts like painting, dancing, writing, etc. Sometimes it is measured in other aspects of your life. The way you arrange a space, combinations of your apparel or even making the perfect peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

keep doing the things you love. talent isn't some gift--its something one acquires, hones and refines. you said there are things you enjoy. pick one and work on it.
