Well I blame the point system. Yahoo give out points for every answer despite its quality or depth. So to answer your question people are looking for easy points and they dont want to do a lot of typing. So saying yes I agree or saying I dont know is an eaiser way to get points than taking the time to relate and identify with the askers problem.

It bothers me when they answer "I don't know" because you wonder why they read the question in the first place. But the "I agree with you" is some comfort that you're not the only one. If I see any of your questions, and I know the answer, I will try to answer them properly.

I figure people groan when they get an answer from me cuz it's usually so long and drawn out!! Sometimes a short simple answer suffices but when they're looking for a more in-depth answer, I can usually accomodate that!! Have a great day!

Yeah it does bother me, but you kinda have to expect that from a site such as this one. Not everyone is mature and intelligent enough to answer others questions as they would want theirs answered. Just take a look at what some of these people ask.

No. I just ignore them or give them a thumbs down if it is really bad. I figure they are just fishing for points and don't really care about answering the question.
Theres jerks out there. Don't let such a frivolous thing waste your breath. Remember, what comes around ALWAYS goes around.

Yeah, it does... like when I'm asking a question in Homework Help, and I get all excited when I see that someone has answered my question, but all that excitement goes away when I see that the answer is "I don't know", "Do your own homework", or "I think you're right", or something like that.

Yes, that really bothers me more than the misspelled words and more than the fragmented sentences. Like when I asked a technical question about a sprint phone.....someone answered by saying "Sprint sucks" ......so why are you telling me that sprint sucks.?......That wasn't my question. Yes, it does bother me.

Not really...
Next time ask them to be more specific by you being more specific in asking your question. Maybe you aren't giving them enough info to elaborate on.
I hate it when someone wants answers yet doesn't give you any details on it.
Like Do you think I should color my hair back?
What are we to say?
We need to know more details first before answering.
What is your natural color?
What is the color now?
When did you last color it?
What color is your skin tone and eyes?
Get my point? :0)
