I know that it happens the world over, but im a Londoner who grew up in London and it just was so very rare for someone to be murdered let alone 8 kids stabbed in London in a weekend.

"Tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime"..Ha....Labour shown up for what they are again...useless.
The murder rate today is many times that in the 50s.
It doesn't take a genius to work out why.
A few years in one of HM's holiday camps (er.. sorry, prisons) and early release is hardly going to make thugs quake in their boots.
If the death penalty for murder (proven) were still with us do you think there would be as many stabbings/shootings as there are now??..No way. This lefty, cow-tow to Europe government won't put it to a referendum to restore the death penalty as they know the majority of this country's people would vote to bring it back.

You should check out the news in Latin America, crimes like that happen so often some are not even reported by the local news.
To splat: you're going to blame this on the US too? that's pathetic.

nothings happening,this sort of thing has been going on since the birth of mankind.
man killing man is ancient history and todays headlines,the human race is inherantly violent,look at all the wars around the world,look at the gangs in central america,north america,south america,south africa,north africa,europe,asia,australia etc etc
take a good look at mankinds history,every major change has come about through warfare and violence directly or indirectly.
i am not saying that war and violence are a good thing,just that mankind is violent and cruel and that its not something new,its not a "modern phenomena" its just humans being humans....
i hope we evolve into civilized humans one day.

Because in UK we are now too soft on criminals and they can literally get away with murder. No discipline by parents from early age, no discipline at school. Could also be that more New Yorkers are emigrating to UK.

Not knowing any particulars, I CAN ONLY GUESS THEY ARE TOO CLOSE TOGETHER TO BE COPY CAT CRIMES SO i WOULD SAY IT'S THE WORK OF A SINGLE INDIVIDUAL OR GROUP.
