Yes, I suggest a literacy test at the border. See if they can pronounce basic words, like strategy or nuclear. See if they know something about history, like whether the pilgrims participated in Nascar, and if Jesus spoke English. If they can't pass this test, turn them back. Otherwise they will come in and we will have to give them the jobs blue staters don't want, like cleaning up nuclear spills, or monitoring citizens telephone calls.
Just my opinion, of course.

lol, I am thinking what it would actually be like if things were left up to the states...I mean, they already are, in the case of Blue States...be it Lousiana or Michigan! Since we here in Michigan are only beat out in our economy by Mississippi, I would say we are managing just fine, even though Bush refused to meet with any of us.n I say, let the states determine for themselves, and then we can get rid of the electoral college, and represent the MAJORITY! Funny how bad they need the federal gov't to step in when they can't win an election, but want them to stay out of their business when it comes to human rights...

OH, you mean all the illegal immigrants in California? But if they leave, no one will vote Democrat!! I think your blue state politicians want to keep them right there.

Are you sure you want to keep all of the productive members of society out of your state? Seriously, how many attorneys, interior decorators, designers, media members and activists can one state support? Surely somebody has to actually perform productive work in your state.

Unfortunately, that is not possible. An American citizen is free to settle in whichever state or locale they can afford.
