For those women who have experienced sore breasts/areolas...where exactly (and how) did they hurt? Did they hurt on the side, but only when you pressed them? Did your areolas hurt all the time, but stopped if you pressed on them? Did your bbs hurt all over constantly, or only when pressure was applied to them? etc. Thanks! :)

It was basically the areolas that hurt the most. Especially when i would take off my bra after wearing it all day. That was only during the first three months, now around the sixth month the don't hurt the breast just itch a little bit.

How did your doctor "ruin you" by giving you antibiotics? If the blisters are leaking yellow fluid that's a sign of infection so antibiotics are needed... It's safe to breastfeed while on antibiotics... If I were you I'd put neosporin on the blisters and the entire sore areola after you are done pumping and clean it off before you pump again.. Neosporin works wonders on all kinds of things and kills germs that cause infection (even clears up some mild infections at their beginnings)... Just get the regular neosporin ointment and use it liberally often at first till you see improvement... Keep your sore areoles as dry as possible... After putting the neosporin on place disposable breast pads (change more than once a day if they get wet) in your loose fitting/comfortable (night time nursing bras are very good for sore breasts and airflow to keep them dry)... If you do all this and finish the antibiotic prescribed it will probably clear up in a week or less... To maintain supply you should continue to pump often... The amount of milk you produce is not determined by how long you pump at a time, it's how often you pump... In your situation you should pump every 2 hours and limit it to 5-10 minutes per breast... If the milk flow stops before 10 minutes you can stop earlier.. Keep the routine of every 2 hours though... At night you should pump at least once or preferably twice at night.. But it will only take 10 minutes so you will still get sleep.. I hope you follow the suggestions I have said, they will work...

During pregnancy? It seemed like they were sore all over. But I'm pretty sure it differs for everyone. And they will feel more sore while pressing on them as your breasts are enlarged while pregnant.

my nipples hurt all day and night, andI hate to have them touched. My breasts sometime hurt, but its usually only at the end of the day after I have been in a bra all day.
