Personally...i think its stupid...its like a man soap Operas:) I used to watch it when i was little with my grandpa but it seemed cool then because i didn't notice how stupid the characters are. Whats your opinion...it is fake right?

I think People like Wrestling because it's entertaining. The Speedos creep me out a little, but overall it's just men (and Sometimes women) pretending to beat each other up. Like most people say, it's kind of like a soap opera It has a plot, plot twists, and sometimes unexpected variables that add on to it. As a wrestling fan, I Take nothing more from it than the entertainment.

If your criteria on what you watch for entertainment is based on weather or not it is fake, I am afraid you are going to have precious little to entertain you. As a life long wrestling fan I personally don't see why people don't view it simply another fictional show on TV. Those people on Lost their not really on an island. Jack Bauer is really an actor named Keefer Sutherland. The problem with these shows is they get cancelled or go on hiatus. If your a wrestling fan you never have to watch reruns and you have a continuing storyline that in many ways goes back forty years. I mean if people want to call those so called reality shows "real" than I say wrestling is real. Just keep in mind that reality is alot scarcer on your television set than you might think. In some ways wrestling is the most real thing on TV because it lacks pretension and tries to be only what it should be an entertaining program.

Yes it's scripted (the moves can seriously injure you if performed wrong, so I won't go as far as fake)
I watch it like it's a TV show, not like an athletic competition. Like characters on a TV show, you grow to love or hate them, watch them develop, and root for or against them.
Sometimes I'll get a laugh, sometimes I'll see a move so cool I'll rave about it with a friend the next day, sometimes I'll be bored out of my mind. But wrestling is just something that I've watched since I was a kid, and even in it's somewhat down state, I would watch it over most other TV shows on television today.

For me personally, I like it because of all the drama around it. It's fake in that the fact that the match outcomes are predetermined, but it's real in the fact that the athletisim is real.
Wrestler's can get injured just as easily as baseball players, basketball players, football players, etc.
And coming from the perspective of a woman, most of the guys are pretty easy to look at. If only they'd get women who could actually wrestle.....

So what if it's fake? About 75% of what you watch on television is fake! The match outcomes are scripted, but the injuries that the wrestlers sustain is NOT. That's why one is out with a torn quad. It's entertaining and unlike all these sappy soap operas and spoiled brats on television, it won't put you to sleep. So take that and shove it!

It's fake but then again so are soap opera. People get caught up in the storylines. It's entertaining to us fans.

it's not 100% fake. probably more like 65-75% fake. some of the stuff is actually real. you can't really fake going through a table or landing on tacks. i like it for the high flying sweet moves and it's entertaining. and the gorgeous guys in spandex just make it more awesome. (:

Yeah it's fake, but some part of it is real 15% of it is real, they make it look real on TV and people like it, but some people think it's all of it is real and cannot be convinced that it's fake

Yes, it is fake...I like the storylines with DX and the divas...and thats about all...I have friends that watch it more than I do...I do feel sorry for the ones that are diehard WWE fans who order every PPV or go to every show that comes their way...Vince has them right where he wants them...in their wallet...
