Personally, I pick Classic Rock. There aren't that many new Rockers that are really "Breakthrough" for me. Which do you like better?

-Classic Rock for you probably means '70s supergroup-days, like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Yes, ELP, ELO, etc.
-I'd much prefer the original punk rock/new wave that came about in the late 70s through the '80s.
-Unfortunately after the grunge 90s, bands and especially labels took on a different approach and sounds ultimately changed to repetitive "i-think-i-heard that-before" kinda sounds...bands since then and through today just plain stink; they have no originality, copying riffs and sounds from the past, and never lasting more than an album or two.
-On top of that, radio is an bland as ever, since the labels don't care and put out whatever crap THEY think will sell, not the people...which is why there are so many "INDIE" labels and bands, putting out their own original sounds on cds or mp3.
-Radio today is a vast graveyard; it belongs to the mega labels and Grammys...the internet is where you'll find new sounds and ideas that are most daring and provacative for your ears.

I prefer Classic Rock to the Suck Rock songs that flood the airwaves now. Although there are some very good bands on the scene today, A majority of the crap that is in rotation now lacks innovation, creativity, and has that pasteurized, processed Corporate Cheese feel to it.

Now this I agree with you about. Today's "rock" just plain stinks. Nothing original about it at all.
