The Queen stands in the courtyard looking beyond the horizon, searching for her knight.
The hour passes slowly, like the pain in her heart.
She looks into the wind as the rain pours down her face,
hiding her many tears.
Knowing full well that her Knight will never again appear.
So much for her happy ending!
It's time to kiss the rainbow away.....
Hopefully, this will be the last of my sad poems!!
[i could sure use a big hug,though]

*hugs*
He's obviously not a real knight so don't shed any more tears for him!

Haroula,
I am sorry you feel this way - someone special has departed your presence and now you must await the next knight to fill the void of lost love.
I would like to give you a big hug; however, I cannot reach that far in the distance with arms - only thoughts of goodness and kindness.
I hope this is the last of your sad poems.
Best,
Gerry

This is very sad . But I believe it is like any woman who loves her man, her knight in shining armor. She will kiss the rainbow away for a time but there can be rainbows again.OOOOOOOOOOOOO Big hugs for you, Haroula.

Haroula, that's so sad. Good poem, though... Cheer up. I'm always here for you if you need to talk. Here's a hug. I'll give you as many hugs as you want. Here's another one. And another one. And another one. And another one...hope you feel better and I hope your future poems are cheerful and happy.

Bear hug for you! Very nice one, sad but very nice!
Tonight under the same stars, the same sky she and her Knight will rest apart.

Damned useless knights. Let my take you to the Lonely Mountain, Sweetie, and be treated like all fair maidens should.

I wrote one after you answered my last question.
In the castle keep
the Queen doth weep
to her rescue-go
and ease her woe
Knights, climb the walls so steep
Allow M'Lady her sleep.

That about sums up my life right now. I could use a hug, and a tissue too, right now. Beautiful poem, thanks for sharing.
