I have a funny bone. The smallest things can tickle me. I'm not a giggler but I will bust out laughing at the drop of a hat.

For Example: I'm sitting in the board room & the general counsel was at the head of the table asking questions about a case. He went around the table asking each member of the legal team their opinion about it. Well, when he gets to Ross, an older gentleman, he was KNOCKED OUT SLEEP. Breathing heavily and everything.

"Ross?" my boss said. "Ross!" he insisted. I was about to lose it. Ross's secretary, who was sitting next to him, nudged him. He startled and awakened totally disoriented. Eyes bucked and red as crimson.

That did it for me. I busted out laughing. I got up and nearly ran out of the boardroom waving my hand as if to say "I'm sorry yall."

I know it was totally unprofessional, but I couldn't help it. This happens all the time. At church, in court or anywhere I should NOT be laughing. Sh!t I'm cracking up right now. Does this happen to you?

Example 2: @ my G-father's funeral (burial site) the Green Beret were doing a 12 gun salute. They were all old vets. You know how they cock the guns b4 shooting, right. Well one guy was having a hard time. So the other soldiers had to wait for him b4 shooting. It was taking a long time. He was struggling bad. Then the the seargent (the guy who calls out the commands) quickly says in a low, frustrated, mean voice, "forget it!"
I almost collapsed I was so overwhelmed with laughter. My brother, who knew I was laughing, grabbed me & I buried my head in his chest. I laughed for about 30 minutes. Everyone thought I was crying. I felt like I was the worse person in the world.

Yes, i do & it's so out of control! Once in school my bestfriend was presenting an assignment to the class and i was holding up her poster while she gave her speech. Half way through her speech, i start giggling from behind the poster, it just came out of nowhere.. i disrupted my friend and she couldn't continue because i just kept laughing. The whole class started laughing and my friend couldn't finish her presentation. I tried to stop but the more i tried to conceal it the more it burst out. I laugh just remembering it.

Another time towards the end of last year when i had big exams going on, i was in the middle of an exam and remembered something really funny from the day before and i started giggling, then my giggles turned into "silent" fits of laughter..

It's the worst when it's during an inappropriate situation.

I don't laugh as much as you do I'm sure but I should. Laughing is truly good for the soul. The last time I had an uncontrollable laugh was yesterday at my niece's graduation. I laughed as someone part of the ceremony went to the podium and kept tugging on her too little sweater to keep her titties in check. She had them out there for the world to see and this was a graduation from preschool. I couldn't control myself but I didn't get up to leave either. I figured if she could be up on that podium with all them bosoms I could giggle in my seat.

Usually I get my most laughs when I'm laughing at the way others carry themselves, or dress themselves. I'm just wrong! But at least I can admit that I am wrong.

People laugh for a variety of reasons, not just “funny” things. I think highly empathetic people have a tendency to laugh at embarrassing and otherwise nerve racking events, and it sounds like you might fit this category. It’s a way to channel nervousness out of your body. Think of Lucille Ball or Dharma from TV.
I personally have a tendency to laugh at my wife when she gets really mad at me. Talk about bad timing!
So what do you do? I try to furl my eyebrows and take on a very serious look. Take a moment to think of something sad, like baby seals being eaten by killer whales or republicans standing up for the little guy. Whatever you do, avoid even starting to smile because this can cause events to cascade into laughter. Finally, as a last resort, pinch yourself or bite loosely on your tongue.
Good luck!

I understand. Although I am not a professional. I have had to excuse myself and leave the room at the most inopportune times, for laughing out loud.
