no, when you fill out paperwork and i asks your marital status its usual shows your dependency. If you are divorced you are made to seems more dependent on your own income. usually separated you are still considered legally married and some you are seem to still have aid. (legally)divorce is considered legally final you can be legally seperated but you cant get remaried its really a fuzzy but unless you are legaly divorced you cannot put divorced because it is misrepresentation. I hope i could explain it clearly!

No there is a major difference. Separated is there is a separation between you two but nothing legally. You are still married to them and divorce is just making it official.

No, being separated you are still technically married. Divorced is final which puts you back to single status

Absolutely not! Being divorced and separated are two different things. If you are separated, you are still married. You still have taken the vows and they have not yet been void. Once the decree is signed by the judge, you are then divorced and no longer lawfully wedded.

No. Divorcing takes documents and legal stuff. If you are separated, you are still married but not living together.

Legally, no. Emotionally, it depends on your circumstances. For me, I felt divorced even before we were separated but for my ex she didn't feel separated till long after we were divorced (we're still friends and I was the asshole who initiated it all). So nothing is black or white, just various shades of grey.

No. When you are seperated by the laws point of view you are still married. A couple who is seperated by military duty can be considered seperated. A divorce involves lawyers and court, a seperation means one person left for a while.

No if you are separated you are still married legally. Divorce cancels that marriage.

No, you're still married when you're separated. Not divorced until papers are signed by both people.
