um,
we won every military engagement in vietnam.
the "tet" offensive was a blunder for the Vietcong and the NVA, as their own records show.
The best lesson we can learn from vietnam is
1. Drafts suck, and are bad for America and bad for the military.
2. The American media will do whatever it can to ensure that we snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
3. When we leave and serve our interests only, rather than those of justice, innocents suffer at the hands of tyrants.
Vietnam teaches us to use an all volunteer army, stay the course, and to allow the military to take the gloves off.

All wars have anti war protesters, and commie's that will take the enemies side. When we are attacked , and major city and towns are destroyed, then and only then will some people understand how important it is to take action before they do, or fight back when they attack. If we show no strength, we may as well bend over and kiss our butts good bye. If we had not and do not continue to stand up , we are asking to be ruled by communist and terrorist, and really there is no difference. Talking and pampering the enemy will not work, never has, never will.

Hollywood's the answer - it's learned how to make money from the Vietnam War and undoubtedly will from the Iraq War, leaving no Stone unturned in the process.

Sorry, not until eventually you're a particularly badly deluded humanist. wherein case anybody may well be the final human beings they're meant to be by utilizing understanding their inner potential and embracing the worldwide as an impartial, rationally infallible artwork of a few existence-Spirit's inspiring artistry. Yeah. Sorry, I have been given slightly over excited there. this is ok to be travelling with a bit of luck see you later as you get someplace.

Vietnam clearly isn't serving that purpose very well, since we seem to be repeating some of the mistakes that led to failure there.

We didn't contain Communism..but we have learned
since how to outspend it...
in Iraq.?.it has no bearing..
except the left learned how to act like Goebbels...
and Nazi-like propaganda being so important in making a situation look different and more dramatic than it is.

Iraq's purpose will probably be to show that we really can't learn from the past.

What purpose?
That if we don't kill terrorist towel heads in the hundreds of thousands, the filthy swine will be here next to give folks like you a Nick Berg haircut...
