Whats your opinion on rap music?

I hate it. But what do you think of it? Especially girls, do you like it. And explain why or why not.

I hate rap music. Gernerally speaking (there are a few people with talent) there is no originality in it, they use the same beats over and over with absolutely no creativity. The lyrics are worhtless and degrading. The videos are disgusting. There are no talented people in the rap industry, it seems that anybody with baggy pants and a chain can get a record deal these days.

Depends on the message that is being Rapped..

If it is a way of giving a positive message to those who listen to it ...then keep on Rappin.

If it is used for sending out hate and negative messages along with foul language. It becomes nothing more than a glorified garbage can in need of a lid.

You don't have to lift the lid off the can to know that the garbage inside stinks!

Depends on what "rap". There are some very positive artists such as Common, Mos Def, Talib Kweli. These guys are political minded are all about self worth and empowerment without rage, destruction and violence. There is a very wide spectrum of what you can call rap music. The majority of it is commercialized, and the true talent (like those guys) gets very little exposure.

Rap music. I never realy listened to until about three years ago. I dated a girl that was into it. Most rap artist have very good meanings and stroies to there music. I dont general like the beat, the rythem, or the way they sing it. But the words are usually good.

I hate it as well.

People always say give it a chance, but why should i? all i hear on TV or the radio is bleep bleep bleep this bleep that. Its ridiculous. what i hate the most are the degradin lyrics and videos. Girls, is that how you want to be viewed as? nothing but curves with no identity? toys for men? I hate it. and your girlfriends have names, not "baby" or "shorty", okay?

the only thing i like is ciara's like a boy (which is not really rap but its the only hip hop genre music that i will listen to without attempting suicide) because it is the truth. if the roles were reversed, it would be unnacceptable. im tired of men bragging about scoring chicks, but when girls do it, we are w h o r e s. whats up with that? its ridiculous and degrading and im tired of it.

I try not to discredit any person's personal taste in music, especially the artists who work so hard to produce it. I personally don't care for most of it, but then again many people don't see the genius behind the Red Hot Chili Peppers or No Doubt, so I can't critisize someone for liking rap.

Im not a fan of rap music. I love all music and a few songs are catchy and what not but i will never go my way and download or buy a rap cd.

Well its not rap music or any type of music i like because i don't like all rap and all pop and all rock but what i do is i pay attention to the words and if they mean something to me or make sence then i like it. But some rap songs i like because they are real and don't talk about stupid stuff like finger snapping and 2 steppn and stuff like that.

I hate rap. It takes no talent to make and it sounds bad. The rappers just talk to a lame beat. How hard is that? I don't know how people listen to it. And to the person said if you don't like rap you're a racist, how are you a racist? Everybody has their own tastes. You're not a racist if you don't like it. I hate rap and I am NOT a racist. You really need to get a life.

I Like rap music because basically i listened to it more than half my life probably the first gender of music i heared but i like the way how they express their self it flows in you have to have skills to rap but theses days anybody can come out with stupid stuff
