um nothing really except the amount of money and fame...i dont disrespect either though. i would never do it lol i think its kind of demeaning but some people have a kinky side and they like it...its also fast cash. honestly when you break it down - whats the difference from having consecutive one night stands with people you barely know and being a porn star/prostitute? at least they're getting paid. sad but true. its amazing how people find ways to classify others as "beneath them" and such things...personally i prefer the porn star/prostitute over the dumbass wealthy monkey declaring war on ridiculous things like "terrorism", sending millions to their deaths....maybe thats just me : (

One is legal and regulated and one isn't.
I wish prostitution was legal. I wouldn't ever... er... utilize their services(eww!) but at least then it would be a bit less gross. In somewhat affluent nations where it is legal, generally to become a prostitute you must have a license, get tested all the time, and safe sex is required. The state gets money, customers get what they want, employees get to make $ how they want, everything is a little safer, from my perspective, s'all good.
If all participants are consenting adults, it is cool with me.
Prostitution has been called the oldest profession. Obviously there will always be a demand for it, and there will always be somebody willing to supply it. I say, if it is going to exist regardless, might as well regulate it and make $ off of it.
Ho tax.
Just think about it.

Literally speaking: The porn star gets regular std testing and is participating with another porn star that undergoes the same.
Morally speaking: Who care? Porn stars and prostitutes provide a great service to society. It has been scientifically proven that sex produces endorphins. Endorphins are mood enhancers, thus making you happy. Pornography and prostitution needs to be more readily available and guilt-free.

Porn stars are being paid by a production company to have sex. Prositutes are being paid by their partners to have sex. Thats the only difference I can think of besides on is legal and the other is not.

Porn stars have to go through rigorous testing before they can engage in the sexual act. This is to prevent disease. Prostitutes have no such regulations and therefore are more apt to pass on diseases and the such. AND most prostitutes that I have seen are quite unattractive and therefore noone would want to see them on film :)
