The US Senate is slated to vote on Bush's hugely-flawed & amnesty-laden immigration bill on Tuesday, June 26.

Please send them THIS to consider as an alternative ---

Here's the BEST immigration plan: Spot checks of ALL employers to see if they have illegal aliens working for them. FIRST offense if they do: the workers are deported on the spot, and told they will face severe criminal charges if they return. And the employer is seriously fined. SECOND offense: Mandatory serious jail time for the employer.

We need to OUST (deport) every single ILLEGAL alien. Quickly and expeditiously.

And RESCIND any citizenship status for any children born in the USA **to** illegal aliens, with immediate deportation of them as well.

Once back in their homeland, former illegals then should have the opportunity to access the SAME means for seeking citizenship that others have. AFTER a 5-year-long penalty period imposed upon them for their having been in the USA illegally in the first place

To "Joyce S" -- I'm not in Congress. I am one of their EMPLOYERS. And I would love to see them submit the above, as a bill, as a SENSIBLE solution to the illegal immigrant crisis.

To "Dharmanator" -- So people's responses are being deleted when they tell us that they happen to be LEGAL aliens. What the heck?!? What's the AGENDA of those censors at Yahoo? Are some of them flat out of their minds?? Looks like Yahoo needs to hire some more sensible censors.

WATCH this question. If it disappears again, that'll say a LOT about Yahoo. And none of it pretty. I hope they take this to heart for what it is: CONSTRUCTIVE criticism.

To "Deof Movestofca" -- The only problem the Indians had was that their numbers were too small for effective resistance, and they didn't have the overnment for it.

As for the 14th Amendment -- it can be MODIFIED to make the "anchor babies" illegal and deportable. Congress and the people HAVE the power to make that modification. I suggest that we DO just that.

Your suggestion is pretty much the system we already have, aside from the rescinding of citizenship of children born to illegals. It just needs to be enforced.

We do need to close the 'anchor baby' loophole though.

I am not surprised to hear your question got deleted. Most of the times I say I am a LEGAL resident alien I get deleted too.

If the Native Americans had done that to the Europeans who came to America, you probably wouldn't be here.

Sorry, that would be illegal. Silly little thing called the Fourteenth Amendment prevents this: "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside." And no, the "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" doesn't provide a loophole for those who want to do that. The Supreme Court has already ruled (Plyler v. Doe) that "no plausible distinction with respect to Fourteenth Amendment 'jurisdiction' can be drawn between resident aliens whose entry into the United States was lawful, and resident aliens whose entry was unlawful."
