Does anyone think that they can come back, win their division(national-central)? And if so, how far in the playoffs?

I'm a Cards fan too - and it is more fun to watch when we win!
However, it's hard to calculate what Carpentar being hurt has cost the Cardinals - but he is about to come back and Mulder is throwing again. If we can get some good pitching, we can still win the Central Division...............
I'm believing for a playoff spot - it's way too soon to give up!

Man i am one of the bigest cardinals fans you will ever meet. I am also kind of down with this slump that they are having to. We need to get better pitchers because now that albert pujols has his bat back and is a potential allstar player, We have a chance at the playoffs. But our pitchers have to do better. I cant believe that we got smoked by the royals. But we always suck against them. But yes i think we can get to playoffs. It will be like last year, we the team no one believed in and now we are world champs. I dont think that we will be able to win the world series if we get there. Our pitching sucks.

They have their problems but Carpenter will be coming back and that should help if he has anything in the tank. The one big thing they have going for them is the division they play in. If they can put a little streak together and win some games they could catch the Brewers if they falter. However, this really looks like a down year for them and I wouldn't expect too much.

Besides the Cards are in the NL (which sucks pretty hard)
AND in the central - possibly the worst teams ever - the BREWERS are leading! And the CUBS are in second!

Stick with your team! when teams are in a slump you find out who the real fans are. so theyre having a bad season, it happens. look at the yankees, they are doing horribly and im still a huge yankee fan. you never what can happen in baseball, they could come back. stick with your team, if your a real fan you will.

By winning at least 75 games, you can take any division in the NL by at least 10 games.

They are defending champs so I don't see why they couldn't come back. I bet they will get hot after the all star break
