Everything that I have herd has Buehrle going to the Yankees who have a much greater need for pitching than the Red Sox. However, the Red Sox could also use him and I wouldn't be surprised if they went after him. i do, however, believe he will be a Yankee before the trading deadline.

The guy above me is right. I live in Chicago and watch alot of Sox games (although Im an Indians fan) and I dont think Mark Burehle is very good. He did good in 2005, but thats about it.
If I were the Red Sox, I wouldnt go for him. Hes not that good. I think the Red Sox would have to give up maybe some minor league prospects and some crappy releivers.

Yes, the Red Sox should trade for Buerhle.
No, the White Sox should not trade him to anyone, but should re-sign him instead.

i am a huge white sox fan and also a red sox fan. those are my 2 favorite teams. i perfer that the white sox keep buehrle because he is a great pitcher.but he definitely has his downs sometimes. they can just renwe his contract at the end of the year. I think that the red sox have an all around awesome team and dont really need any trades to improve their team.

Buerhle would be nice to have, he is an innings eater who can pitch over 200 innings a year, and he is a lefty and has pitched strong lately, but the Red Sox would have to give up some prospects, like Clay Bucholz, and then some. With Lester coming up, the rotation is set. So considering what you have to give up to get him, no, they should not trade for him

Yes, I think he would make the Red Sox's pitching staff really solid. If they were to get him in a trade, I'd replace Tavaras for him.

Ya...for two reasons
-They're gonna need a new pitcher next year. We're good for this year unless Schilling will be out for longer than expected. But next year Schilling might not come back, we have Beckett for a while, lets face it Tavarez isn't a great pitcher...he's been doing good but he's a bullpen guy, also Wakefeild is old and the only reason we keep him is beacause he's cheap money, and Dice-K should be good.
-The second reason is to just keep him away from the Yankees...we don't want them to load up on pitching because that's their weakness and we want to exploit it. Thats why we spent so much on the rights to be the only team to make deals with Dice-K because it kept him away from the Yankees.

It definately couldn't hurt he's a good pitcher on a bad team I'm sure he would love to go play for a team that has a chance to win it all and Schilling, Dice K, Beckett and Buerhle would be one tough rotation to beat in a playoff series.
