One thing you could do is throw a party or two, or have a friend or one of your sisters stay with you while he is gone. Do you have any hobbies or anything you would like to try? Now would be a good time to get caught up on things you have not had time for. Good luck and have fun.

Maybe you can start a hobby.. find something that interests you and go try it out.. :) Some hobbies can be very productive in terms of keeping your mind in check, or building up new skills that can aid you at work or in your personal life. If you're really that much of a home body... then maybe you could think of a new decorative setup for your home.. and then go invite your sisters and friends to help you (if the tasks aren't that heavy on the body) and perhaps plan some nice welcome for your husband for when he gets home. You could try some new baking recipes.. or even main course dishes.. you could also go find some good books to read.. To enjoy on a particular day of the week, you can go on a marathon if you're quite the film buff.. I'm not sure what your interests are.. so just work on those.. and maybe you'll find some new hobby or new project to work on. :) Best of luck. Ball's in your court.

There are dancing videos on YouTube and you could start getting jiggy with it to destress after working for that kind of hours! Also, cleaning up your house in the anticipation that your husband will be happy a house so clean and sparkling will be good too. Ensure you have tip-top head-to-toe care with good products and all that. You need to look pretty FOR him , don't you!? ;) So it's free time without him now , so you can do some pampering for YOUR self. Read books on how to **put more romance** in your lovelife :). I wish you all the best, o homely wife!

It doesn't sound like you have any kids so have you thought about asking one of your sisters to stay with you? Take up an art project...paint the living room. Clean house, rearange your bedroom/kitchen/living room. Anything time consuming and tiring will make the time go by faster. You'll keep busy and you'll be tired so you'll want to sleep.

Re-decorate a room, read a book, have your friends over for a party, or better yet make a slumber party like when you were a kid.
I had to show some restraint answering this question,a lot of impure thoughts came to mind;)

Read some good books, rent some DVDs, go for walks or window shopping.
You can also go get a manicure or pedicure or massage. Just take it easy and enjoy your time alone.
Journal out your feelings.
Clean out drawers and cabinets.

Use the time to find out what you need in your life other than him...maybe he takes up too much of your life? I dont think you should have to think what to do when you are without him, healthy relationships require both parties having their own interests.
Whatever you enjoy in life or enjoyed as a kid...crafts, writing, reading...then do some of those things and you may find that you rekindle the pleasure of your own company.

Try scrapbooking or take advantage and decorate your place. My wife made me a great scrapbook about my dad and it was the best gift I've ever received. I would do something special for your husband just in case things do go so well for his dad.

work 40 hours a week, you are lucky. clean house and mind your P's and Q's get rested for his return, hanging out will only bring problems for you unless husband knows about it and does not mind.
