I remember being anxious to start my period too. From the situation you described you are definitely going through puberty which means your period could start any time. However, don't be too worried if it takes many more months or even a couple of years as everyone develops at a different rate. It's not weird to anticipate your period with excitement. It's a sign of growing up. It's something new and exciting. Also it's something many young girls talk about and sometimes it's nice to be feel like you fit in. I know it's hard to wait for something that you're thinking about tons but if you can remind yourself that once it does start you will have it for many years and there might be times that it's not so fun.

sometimes when you don't have something, you want it. then when you get it, you don't want it anymore. Periods are one of those. If you want, compare yourself to me:
-I started growing breasts when I was 8 (!!!)
-I started getting pubic hair when I was 9 (!!!)
-...what exactly do you mean by discharge? Sorry, i'm a bit thick :D
-I got my period when I was 10(!!!)
What I'm saying is DONT WORRY! Your period will come when it is ready. It is ok to want it. It should come soon, as you seem like an early developer.

No, it is not strange to want your period. Your probally wondering why your friends have got it and you didn't. Everyone matures at their own pace. You will probally get it this year or next year. But trust me you are so lucky that you don't have it because it is a real pain. I hate having mine! Plus you are only 12 right? So it will probally come soon! don't worry! Just enjoy this time not having to worry about it.

No it isn't strange to want your period. I "bloomed" early, really early and it was acutally scary when it did happen even though I wanted to feel like a big girl. I actually cried when I started. I think your time will come...everyone is different. My sister started when she was 16 and I started when I was 10. Don't be worried about it!

You're period is coming very soon. I got "discharge" for about 6 months and it started. No, it's not strange to want it at all. You're growing up, and you're curios, so no biggie

It is different for everybody so there is no real way to know when you would start. Also in some family's [not all] the females will start around the same age.Maybe you could ask someone in your family about the older generation.Good luck and I hope everything works out for you.

no its not strange... its something you dont know about and you want to experience it and wonder what it is like.... totally understandable. There is no specific determination when you will get it but im saying right around 12 to 13. Don't freak out if im wrong and its totally normal.
