I have recently been fired unjustifiably. I definitely want to protect myself, and also want to expose the company for what they did. Will someone please give me a 1-2-3 steps process of what I should do..what my rights are? Thank you...

First you need to look up the employment laws of your area. Next you need to have somebody take an impartial look at the facts (and consider the employers POV).

If your research indicates that you may have a valid cause for action - then find a lawyer.

Otherwise simply make sure that you act differently at your next job.

You need to give a better discription of your situation. Most of the time, employment is at will (you can be fired for any reason). There are very minimal protections for being discharged.
1) What field of work?
2) Circumstances surrounding the discharge?
3) Their reason for firing you?
4) Anyone else been fired under similar circumstances?
5) What did you say/write and to whom did you say/write?

Unless you give those details you won't be able to get a legal "answer."

Did they fire you based on your race, sex, religion, sexual preference, disability, or some other factor that would be illegal? If so then check the department of labor website.

If they did not fire you based on any of those factors then generally the company is in the clear. Kind of depends on what state you live in. Some states have more stringent rules and some states allow an employer to let you go whenever the employer wants.

What reason did they use to let you go? More than likely they told you something. Also, I would bet that you have an idea why.
