I actually think I heard that about 60% of people wash their hands after using the bathroom.

I don't know but it is true that a surprisingly large percentage of doctors don't wash their hands before they go touching patients (which is one of the reasons why people in hospitals get infections while they are there). Nurses wash their hands more often. Scientific surveys that have been published in major medical journals have discussed this phenomenon.

From standing in the restroom waiting for my companions to finish up so we can leave, I watch to see how many WOMEN wash properly after using the toilet. I would say 40% and that is an optimistic estimate.

Most public restrooms are far dirtier than my hands to begin with.

i don't know about "most" people, but i would say many. with all the diseases i definitely wash my hands more. they did a test on computer keyboards and found them full of feces and urine deposits- gross huh?

probably true... but i like to think we live in a perfect world where everyone washes their hands... esp food workers....
