Back in 2003.......

Recent high-level Venezuelan military defectors say President Hugo Chavez gave $1 million to al-Qaida shortly after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the United States.

Air Force Maj. Juan Diaz Castillo, formerly a pilot for the Venezuelan leader, was smuggled to Miami last week where he is warning the U.S. of what he calls Chavez's dismissal of the constitution and his ties to terrorism in collaboration with Cuban dictator Fidel Castro.
"I must warn America about Chavez," Diaz said. "He is a danger, not just to his own people but to the whole region."

Since this story broke in 2003, I'm surprised it is not common knowledge to everyone. So, when that little imp of a dictator Chavez calls Bush a threat to peace, guess who's calling the kettle black?

Chavez should be targeted for harsh reprisal, if you know what I mean. He is funding the very organization that calls for the elimination of the U.S. Threats of this sort should not be taken lightly.

Perhaps if Venezuela were saddled with the moniker of terror-sponsoring state, his popularity would plummet. I wonder how many Venezuelans know he gave this money.

I've got a great idea: when we capture Bin Laden, why not let his cell mate be Hugo? They can talk over good times.

Welcome to the world. Where have you been. They are making him seem like one so we can go get him as well. Are you this lost on the whole subject? The only thing that is really starting to hurt is that congress actually is doing something. They are putting a strain on this once free spending war that the administration created. No more funding the terrorists or supporting the ones that do, that is what they said but cutting the millions Bush was giving to the Saudi's. The whole plan has always been what is occuring...get Iraq oil, created a long long war for military contractors, then go get the oil in Venezuela. Create him to be a bad guy (not that he is good by any means just pointing out the strategy). We allow Chaves to make money off the US on a daily basis by using his oil. Eye opening isn't it. I have been saying for two years since we first heard of Chavez that this was going to occur. Just you wait.

While I have no love for Mr Chavez, I do remember doing some research on him and his country a while back.

In 2002, the Venezuela Military attempted to take over the country. How is that different than some Ven. Air force pilot trying to do it again? Where is his proof? Is it manufactured yet?

If you want to do some research yourself, (it's actually quite interesting), Google these words

Venezuela army coup

What's so intriguing about Venezuela? This about sums it up.

"In 2001, Venezuela’s ambassador to Russia spoke of Venezuela switching to the Euro for all their oil sales"

EDIT: In reply, I present to you this humorous clip, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2o-G_s_uKlo

I believe it. PBS had a documentary on Castro that included his protege Chavez. I also believe he is on that kind of list with our officials already. Except some people like Hillary Clinton want to solicit his oil resources and at a reported 100% profit (Persian Journals & Clinton-Chavez search engine it ) Thank you very much.
Cristiano in 1998 when the USSR disbanded who was in charge. The CIA involvement and the Gulf War influence? Several administrations led to Osama's rise to power. It escalated under WJClintons watch. Your link gives the dates, thank you also.

As much as the Bush family was listed as terrorist when they

Supported and traded with Nazi Germany

Sold missiles and satellites to China during the embargo

Profited from the S & L disaster (still in progress).

Ditched a fighter and claimed to have been separated from the squadron, out of sight of witnesses, on the projected course of the carrier then shot down by an enemy plane nobody else saw

Went AWOL

Sanctioned the sale of weapons to Iran

Invested heavily (through the Carlyle Group) in war profiteer companies

etc. etc. etc.

Don't believe everything you read...besides, Chavez is on the CIA's hit list. You shouldn't lose any sleep over him. He's only trying to run his country and he nationalized Venezuela's oil to the benefit of the Venezuelan people. How dare he go up against the US? That's his REAL sin.

Whirled nuts daily is a PNAC propaganda source that is not even close to being credible.

If there was any truth to this the mainstream media would have been all over it.

Bush is a weakling. I would have lobbed a tactical nuke at chavez the day he got back from the middle east signing a deal to allow syrian and iranian terrorists into the western hemisphere.

Try using a credible source instead of partisan tripe such as WingNutDaily. It's obvious the far-right is desperate that they'll fabricate stories to rile up the public.
