Don't. Any restrictions on food intake will affect your milk. If you want to breastfeed, think about the baby and eat well. If you want good milk supply and quality, you need to eat fatty things like chicken and vegetable soup.. you can't breastfeed on salad.
Don't worry.. all your weight will drop once you stop breastfeeding. In the meantime, your baby is more important.

yes. The best diet is to eat healthy. I'm fron Nicaragua central america and raised in the US. Most of my cousins in my dad's side of the family have gotten married to Cambodian men and their housbands have taught me that the best way to loose weight after having a baby is wearing tght underwear to start to tighten up your stomache and butt really good support bras to keep your breasts from sagging too much, taking daily walks of an hr, eat lots and lots of food containing Cabage example chicken soup with cabbage & veggies etc. Eat lot of soups and drink green tea. Avoid from eating cold stuff like Ice cream, drinking cold drinks like soda etc. All this will help you get back in shape & maintain yourself without harming your baby if you're breast feeding. I did all this when i had my first baby and lost weight really quick. It was ahrd at first to eat nothing but soups and hot stuff but i got used to it and my digestion was easier because of the vegetables. I also recommend fruits. Whatever you do- don't stop taking your prenatal pills because after you have ur baby your body will be so worn out by the whole pregnancy that you will start loosing your hair a bit and your nails will thin out. Taking your pills will help your body get all the strength it's missing and keep you from loosing your hair, help with skin dexterity etc. Just don't take any diet pills or force yourself to excersize more than you should. 1/2 hr to 1hr walks are good for you

No, but a suggestion would be to try Weight Watchers instead. You will lose weight, still get enough calories to breast feed and you will be eating carbohydrates for energy.

I think so. I would just make sure that you are getting enough nutrients for you and your baby. I find that if I count calories I lose weight. Some people hate doing that though. Breastfeeding helps you lose weight, it burns a lot of calories. I would stay clear from junk food though... that won't help at all.

Yes, but you need to make sure you are getting the proper nutrition, so in other words, you can eat healthy, but no crash dieting.
Actually, weight watchers has a program for nursing mothers that would be ideal to do.
