There are 3 people who've said that Buzz Aldrin piloted the LM to land on the Moon - he may have been the Lunar Module Pilot, but it was Neil Armstrong at the controls with Buzz calling out their speed and altitude. If you want the detail, read either A Man On The Moon by Andrew Chaikin or First Man by James Hanson. The former is a general history of the entire Apollo program and the latter is the (only authorised) biography of Neil Armstrong.

Even wikipedia gets it right - people, all you have to do is open your eyes and read!!!

Gah!

Armstrong and Aldrin, with Armstrong being the first of the 2 to walk on the Moon.

Moon hoaxers: take a look at rebuttal websites. A lot of them are written by experienced scientists and ***conclusively prove*** that the Moon landings did take place. These sites, instead of using flawed common sense and circumstancial "evidence", give factual proof and show that the evidence that hoaxers like to champion (why are there no stars in the background?) only shows that the landings were real.

The hoax crowd also ignores the fact that astronauts left behind reflectors on the Moon that astronomers have used to measure the distance to the Moon. This is actual proof of the landings and would not be possible if the Moon landings were fake. No reputable scientist denies the Moon landings.

Neil Alden Armstrong (born August 5, 1930) is a former American astronaut, test pilot, university professor, and naval aviator. He was the first human being to set foot on an extraterrestrial world (The Moon). His first spaceflight was Gemini 8 in 1966, for which he was the command pilot. On this mission, he performed the first manned docking of two spacecraft together with pilot David Scott. Armstrong's second and last spaceflight was as mission commander of the Apollo 11 moon landing mission on July 20, 1969. On this famous "giant leap for mankind," Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin descended to the lunar surface and spent 2.5 hours exploring while Michael Collins orbited above.

Neil Armstrong was the one who stole the glory from Buzz Aldrin the pilot and the rightful person to have been the first to walk on the moon, Armstrong outranked him and took advantage. But Aldrin was the pilot and so was the first to "land" on the moon.

Also if it was a hoax the Russians would have said something they were monitoring the whole thing, the Russians would have said something if they hadn't done it.

Buzz Aldrin piloted the Lunar Lander 'Eagle', so he was the first person to land on the moon.

Neil Armstrong, the commander of Apollo 11, was the first to step out onto the surface.

Michael Collins remained in orbit around the moon while the other two made the landing.

As has been correctly said, Neil Armstrong was the first person to walk on the lunar surface.

Scientists at the Jodrell Bank Radio telescope in England monitored Apollo 11 as it landed on the Moon.

Russia has never claimed Apollo was a hoax.

All assertions that the Moon landings were faked are completely without foundation.

Neil Armstrong then Buzz Aldren. Some schizophrenics think that the whole 1st human on the moon event in 1969 was taped in a Hollywood studio right here on planet Earth because the lighting wasn't correct for the time of day they landed. I believe it really happened, those who don't are COMMIES! USA #1!
