I think it's Indiana. And also, my Grandmother used to have a rather tall wall cabinet which had a flour bin and funnel to it where she made delicious pies, etc. It too was called a hoosier. As an interior designer, I am coureous how BOTH got their name ?

The term Hoosier was used as a derogaroty label for an uncouth countryman our mountaineer. The countryman was believed to be inexperienced and gawky. Over the years, it lost its negative connotation and became known as the State's nickname.
As far as your Granny's cabinet, I can't help you on that one. (sorry!)
