Ezra was written in Aramaic so your claim that the same word was rendered cross referring to what Jesus died on couldn't be more wrong. The New Testament was written in Greek. The Aramaic word from Ezra 6:11 literally means a piece of wood. Which could be a beam or a cross or whatever else can be made out of wood. Roman history confirms that Romans executed criminals on a cross. The Greek word σταυρός stauros is translated "cross" most of the time. In fact it is NEVER EVER translated as "beam" in the Bible. Most of the time in other Greek writings it is translated "cross". The root word is not wood or beam, the root word means to set up to stand.
