I am remodeling my kitchen. Currently it has dark brown cabinets with dark paneling. I am taking down the paneling and refinsihing the cabinets, but I'm sure what finishes i want for the cabinets or the walls, since my plates are shades or blue and my glasses are blue swirl. please help...

git blue or a greenish blue or maybe mix it up with a lite green with blue handels or somrthing

A pine would look good. Like a light pine? Ya know?
But the first one sounds good too. It also depends on which blue you're talking about.And the colour of the walls. Have you gone to a hardware store and asked someone from the colour dept.?
That might work. At least they know what they are talking about.

What about an antique white (cottage white) for the cabinets and something different but complimentary like yellow for the walls?

Yellow goes very nicely with blue.
