I'm not sure if you can find a dress like this, but for a dance I went to I found a long black dress that had a high slit up the front, and instead of being strapless or whatever it had the collar of a tux. It was very unique and very hot. I got tons of compliments. There were some sequins on the tux collar part so it made the dress really shine!! I found it at a used dress shop, maybe you could look there.

Do not go as Marilyn, everyone does! Think about what you would like to wear and then fit the character to it, i.e is this a chance to wear sexy saucy clothes that you never would normally then dress up as lara croft in leather and pvc hot pants or do you want to be truly elegant then dress up as hepburn in the little black dress and pearls in breakfast at tiffanys or do you want to wear black well how about morticia from the addams family.
Use this as an opportunity to dress in the way you would love to but wouldnt in normal life!

Whatever you do DON'T go as Marilyn Monroe, there'll be thousands lol. If you dont know who she is look up Vampyra in a search engine, she was in an Ed Wood film called Plan 9 From Outer Space and was a professional 'screamer' in films lol. Im sure no one else would have the idea =]

I'd say Marilyn Monroe but I think there'd be too many with the same idea.
You can get Cat woman costumes that are quite sexy but definitely different and good for a laugh.

Go as bet Davis, No one will do that but remember to have the ciggie holder and your right eye closed(that was her logo) wear something long,black slinky & sexy with a fur wrap.(also a pair of matching heels(no matter how much they hurt wear them as it was her look)Find pics of here on google. GOOD LOOK love
