Is it ever o.k. to have a "one night and then its over" -- thing? Like -- we are both attracted 2 each other... both want to... both are hesitant, for obvious reasons. But she's suggesting an "our night" type thing - and then it'll be over.

What do you think?

if you value your friendship, then i suggest you don't. you have to think of the consequences after this. it may or may not come out, but it's like stabbing your friend at the back...

think about this... would you like to find out oneday that your friend was screwing your wife while divorce is on the processing.

don't do unto others, what you don't want others to do unto you...

There's a simple rule in life everyone should remember - just because your CAN do something, doesn't mean you SHOULD. Your friend's wife is using you to get back at her ex. Unless you want to lose your friend permanently, then I would graciously thank your friend's wife for the compliment, express regret that the timing wasn't better, then WALK AWAY.

Tough one to turn down. Guy code rules here. Wait until divorce decree has been both issued and finalized. Sorry bud.

Ask yourself, "Is one night of passion worth losing a life-time friendship?"

Even though he's divorcing her, I doubt very much he'd understand if you two got together.

I think the answer is no, don't do it...it wouldn't be worth the trouble it will cause.

If you are even contemplating this, you are not this man's friend.

*edit* It's not about being perfect. Nobody is. However, wanting to sleep with your friend's soon to be ex wife is pretty low, by any standards. Sorry.

I agree with keeping to the guy code - never go sniffing around your friends action. Even getting some of his his ex-action can make him an ex-friend.

First: Depends on how good a friend your friend is.
Second: Do you honestly think it will be a one night and nothing more thing?

Would you like it if you friend wanted to sleep with your wife or soon to be ex wife if you were married? That is just wrong, you need to tell her NO and then stay away from her. She sounds like she is just trying to use you to get back at him.

If you think it will be worth it go for it.
I have a few friends that I would mind losing, but I also have a few friends that I would never risk losing.
